This week, I analysed 4 more materials, gold, ice, meat and chrome.
After receiving feedback on the work, originally on the chrome, it was catching a shadow on the darkest side, which Kras said made it look translucent. Furthermore, he added that the meat looked too much like stylised ref, so to combat this, I was to go back and add more meat rind to break up the piece.
I added melt steam to the ice as well as a pool underneath, adding small details to an object can help distinguish the object in question, this is the same with the chrome, due to the reflections.
Out of the range developed, the gold is the strongest as it has core properties of gold like reflections, streaked highlights and off colour shadows.
