Digital art practice - week 22

This week I wanted to carry out my 2-point perspective study.

My initial design was based off a Mayan temple. I however ended up discarding this option ad the amount of detail I would have to put in to the piece would have taken too much time, it would have worked better as a line piece rather than adding value to it. For example, the temple in the background and everything in between had to be filled in with something, such as trees, rocks and other objects.

So I decided to change this design, the general layout and composition stayed relatively the same, but I went for more streamlined shapes. So using the Greek Parthenon and the Roman Pantheon for inspirational reference - I decided to go with the theme of an abandoned Greco-Roman style temple. Taking additional inspiration from Pompeii, it makes for a convincing piece.

There were a few perspective issues, but I fixed these by covering up certain areas with air, grass or something similar, as not to detract from the piece I had already created.
