Today, I did more material research, this was in order to make a decisive judgement on my materials. Adding versatility to my work by analysing certain forms, shapes and colour to inform my work.
For example, the thing that appealed to me the most was the leather, seeing where the scuff marks are on the worn parts, mainly on the most used bits, mainly where leather is rubbed on after years of wear, which would be nice to inform my work.
However, the margin for error appears on the ocean/water sections, because I am replicating it on a primitive, rather than drawing the actual water itself, I would need to take account of shadows and highlights, even though in context, there wouldn't be those kinds of values in real life water.
