This week I wanted to analyse my final piece for the perspective project.
Overall, it catches a sci-fi scene, using motif within it and making the genre easily identifiable. Including things like hard surface and space elements.
In the end, I decided to add more clouds to the scene so the background was visible, but it didn't draw the eye to that specific section.
It brings up a believable scene, of a future civilisation that abandoned this planet due to the present circumstances. Our character is analysing remnants before the inevitable collapse.
As a narrative standpoint, it is very strong.
As for colour, I believe the colour scheme works, however some of the colours are a bit washed out, the reasoning for this I am not too sure, but I have a few theories. Such as the value not being that close together or the area of contrast being too light. But the colour does indicate to us what objects are which.
